Actor Russell Crowe is reportedly set for a cameo in the upcoming Batman sequel, The Dark Knight.

Melbourne, Aug 24 : Actor Russell Crowe is reportedly set for a cameo in the upcoming Batman sequel, 'The Dark Knight'.

Film bosses are trying their best to keep the stint of the 43-year-old a secret.

However, Christian Bale, who will star in the lead role as Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman confirmed that Crowe will star in the flick."Russell's going to actually be in the new Batman movie, which is a big surprise and I want to reveal it to everybody right now," Moviehole quoted Bale, as saying.

Earlier, there were rumours that actor Val Kilmer will play a cameo as an older Wayne in the movie, but the reports were doubted as he started shooting for 'Conspiracy'.

The film is being directed by Christopher Nolan, the director of 'Batman Begins'.
