Lily Allen has denied reports that she mocked at beleaguered singer Amy Winehouse during a recent British festival appearance.
Washington, Aug 24 : Lily Allen has denied reports that she mocked at beleaguered singer Amy Winehouse during a recent British festival appearance.
At the V festival, the Smile star raised a toast to Winehouse who pulled out of the show following drug overdose.
"It's the end of the weekend, you have got to have a drink. Here's to Amy Winehouse." Contactmusic quoted Allen as saying at the festival.
However, on her blog, Allen has insisted that she only mean to offer support to the troubled soul star.
Allen added that she has seen enough of alcoholism around her to understand that it is a serious matter.
"Me raising a drink to Amy was just that, showing my support for her. I've been around enough alcoholism to know that it is a serious matter," she said.
