New York, Aug. 24 : 'Grindhouse' director Quentin Tarantino's favourite death scene is from the 1982 Italian horror flick 'Tenebre', in which a victim paints the wall with blood after her am is chopped off. The film was directed by Asia Argento's father, Dario.
Tarantino selected a scene from 2001's 'Jason X', wherein a fiend solidifies a woman's face by forcing it into liquid nitrogen and then slams it against a counter so that it shatters like glass, as his second favourite death scene.
The director also mentioned 1981's 'The Prowler', in which a girl showers while her boyfriend lies in bed, when asked by FHM to select his favourite scenes.
"(The prowler) sticks a bayonet through the top of his head so it comes down through his chin . . . (Then) he goes into the shower, where the chick is naked, and he stabs her with a pitchfork and, as she's screaming, he lifts her up the wall," the New York Post quoted him as saying.
Tarantino's own series of 'Kill Bill' movies with Uma Thurman had the most spilled blood of any Hollywood releases in years.
