Washington, Aug. 24 : US rock band 'Eagles' have announced that they are set to release their new album at the end of October.
'Long Road out of Eden' will be their first studio album in almost three decades.
Record label 'Universal' has concluded a deal with US retailers Wal-Mart and Sam's Club in order to take the album to fans.
The Californian group's last album was 'The Long Run', which was released in 1979.
The four-strong band comprising of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy Schmidt is well-known for their hits 'Hotel California' and 'Life in the Fast Lane'.
They reformed in the early 1990s after breaking up in the previous decade, and have held a number of lucrative tours across the world since then.
The first single from their upcoming album, How Long, received its video and radio premiere last week.
"It's rare to have the opportunity to be involved with a band of their stature, as they define popular music in so many ways," Contactmusic quoted Universal chief executive officer Lucian Grainge as saying.
