Washington, Aug 24 : Gurinder Chadha will reportedly be replaced by hit comic movies director Betty Thomas, to direct the big-screen adaptation of cult TV soap 'Dallas'.
20th Century Fox and Regency are in talks with 'The Brady Bunch' director Thomas to direct the flick, which is being penned by Pam Brady.
The work on the movie had restarted in June after actor Luke Wilson announced that Jennifer Lopez's detachment had put the project into trouble.
Actor John Travolta has stayed on to star as the slimy oil tycoon J.R. Ewing.
The film's budget is expected to be lower than the projected 65 million dollars
The project is expected to begin in January.
