London, Aug 22 : Movie great Robert De Niro managed to relive the day he turned 64 by travelling through time zones.
The actor was in Melbourne, Australia when he turned 64 on Monday, Aug 20.
While there, he celebrated by attending the launch party of his new Nobu restaurant.
De Niro then literally went back in time when he flew through time zones to Hawaii for another birthday party in the Waikiki Parc Hotel branch of Nobu.
The Nobu chain was created after De Niro and chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa met in Los Angeles over 20 years ago.
At the time, De Niro offered to help the chef open up his own place in the Big Apple. A little while later, Nobuyuki took up the offer and the first restaurant came into being in 1994 along with Richie Notar and Hollywood producer Meir Teper.
"I thought his place was great. I told him, 'If you ever want to open a restaurant in New York, let me know.' A year or two later, he called me, said, 'I'm interested,'" the Daily Snack quoted him, as saying.
The chain now has eateries across the world, from Italy to the Bahamas.
