London, Aug 22 : Singer Jamelia is determined to stay strong for the sake of her kids, after she split from her long-time beau footballer Darren Byfield.

The mum of two admitted that pursuing a relationship in the public eye is difficult when both the persons are famous.

The 'Superstar' hitmaker said that she still loves Byfield, and that he has never cheated on her.

"I still love Darren and we will remain the best of friends. I absolutely know the rumours about him are not true and they played no part in our break-up," she added.

"I'm doing OK. I'm a practical person and I've got two children to look after so I'm not going to fall apart,' Jamelia said.
