Eleven persons got injured after falling of a truck during the shooting of Tom Cruise starrer Valkyrie in Germany on Sunday night.
London, Aug. 21 : Eleven persons got injured after falling of a truck during the shooting of Tom Cruise starrer 'Valkyrie' in Germany on Sunday night.
One man among the injured persons, who were working as extras, was seriously hurt in the incident.
Other ten persons were treated in hospital, and released later on.
According to Berlin police, the accident occurred when the side of the truck, which was made to look like a Wehrmacht military vehicle, burst open as it drove around a corner.
The police also said that there were "no findings to suggest anyone famous was involved," reports the BBC.
The vehicle is being inspected for technical defects as part of a police investigation.
'Valkyrie' is a real-life story of a plot to kill Adolf Hitler in 1944, and it stars Cruise in the role of the mastermind behind the daring bid to assassinate the Fuhrer.
The film has faced criticism in Germany, and the crew working on it have been banned from filming at the former staff quarters where Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who led the plot, was executed.
Initially, it was speculated that the ban was imposed because of Germany's hostility towards Cruise's Scientologist beliefs.
However, a government spokesman later clarified that the restriction was placed to preserve the building's "dignity".
Known as the Bendler Block, the building is now a memorial for Third Reich resistance fighters.
Named after Operation Valkyrie, the codename of the failed 1944 plot to kill Hitler, the film is being directed by Bryan Singer.
The film's shooting, which began last month, was called off after the accident.
