Superbad has topped the weekend box office with an estimated earning of 31.2 million dollars, according to data complied by Exhibitor Relations.

Washington, Aug 20 : 'Superbad' has topped the weekend box office with an estimated earning of 31.2 million dollars, according to data complied by Exhibitor Relations.

The comedy flick was followed by 'Rush Hour 3' (21.8 million dollars) at the second spot.

The latest sequel to Matt Damon starrer Bourne series 'The Bourne Ultimatum' (19 million dollars) and 'The Simpsons Movie' (6.7 million dollars) secured third and fourth respectively, reports E! Online.

'The Invasion' rounded off the top five, at the fifth place. The top 10 films according to Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations are as follows:

1. Superbad, 31.2 million dollars

2. Rush Hour 3, 21.8 million dollars

3. The Bourne Ultimatum, $19 million dollars

4. The Simpsons Movie, 6.7 million dollars

5. The Invasion, 6 million dollars

6. Stardust, 5.2 million dollars

7. Hairspray, 4.3 million dollars

8. Underdog, 3.6 million dollars

9. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, 3.54 million dollars
