Washington, Aug 20 : Paul Bettany and Thomas Kretschmann are all set to star in The Young Victoria' that has begun filming in the UK.

The film, which is scripted by Julian Fellowes and helmed by Jean-Marc, is about the royal's rise to power and her long-term romance with Prince Albert.

Emily Blunt plays the title role with Rupert Friend as her husband, Albert, reports Variety.

Bettany will play Lord Melbourne, the Queen's most trusted adviser and Kretschmann will be Belgian King Leopold.

"The Young Victoria" is being produced by Graham King and Martin Scorsese along with Tim Headington and Sarah Ferguson.
