Washington, Aug 20 : Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman received an aboriginal welcoming ceremony for their new flick Australia.
The two acted as the guests of honour at a function organised by the Miriwoong and Gajirrawoong communities at Kununurra in West Australia.
The cast and crew of the film including Oscar-nominated director Baz Luhrmann watched traditional dance and heard some legendary local stories.
"It was beautiful to receive the blessings. I felt very honoured to be a part of this deeply spiritual land. The warmth and kindness (they) are showing us is very much appreciated," Contactmusic quoted Kidman, as sayng.
Kununurra was chosen as a location for the film to serve as Faraway Downs, the homestead owned by Kidman's character.
