K-Fed wants kids to have normal life

As Britney Spears parenting skills come under fire, Kevin Federlines lawyer reveals what her ex hubby now wants for his kids.

Washington, Aug 2 : As Britney Spears' parenting skills come under fire, Kevin Federline's lawyer reveals what her ex hubby now wants for his kids.

Mark Vincent Kaplan opened up to Usmagazine and insisted that Federline wants his kids to have as 'normal' a life as possible.

"His desire is that these kids have a chance to grow up free, in as normal an environment as possible," the mag quoted Kaplan, as saying.

The attorney's interview comes at a time when Britney's bizarre behaviour has people worried about her kids.

For the moment, Britney and Federline share custody of their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, but according to a previous agreement between the couple, the singer has physical custody with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.

However, Kaplan also revealed that this agreement might be challenged when there is a full hearing on the matter on Aug. 14.

"The judgment could be filed but it might not relate to the current circumstances, it might relate to prior ones, and there's always an ability to at least apply to the court that you need to change in the interest of the kid," he said.

Kaplan was also all praise for Federline's skills as a parent.

"He is a hands-on dad and I think that he is a very focused parent who believes that any kids, but especially kids of this young age, need to have structure and consistency and that he has always provided that and wants to make sure that they get the benefit of that as much as possible," he said.

When asked if K-Fed was concerned about what happens when they are not under his care, the attorney would only reply: "Well I can't say how he feels about it, but I can say that all of these things that come out (about Britney), if true, are things that would concern me".
