London, August 16 : Dynasty star Joan Collins once fell back on a burqa in order to avoid fans.

The English acting veteran recently admitted that she wore the full veiled garment so that she could sneak out of her home without encountering eager fans.

"I bought an all-encompassing Muslim-style burka with only a slit for my eyes," the Mirror quoted her, as saying.

However, Joan, who played Alexis Carrington in the hit 80s TV series, added that she had to pay the price of wearing the uncomfortable garb.

"I walked slowly down the stairs of my apartment but unfortunately the first thing I hit was the ground, as billowing folds of black caught between my legs," she said.

Collins also revealed that she donated the clothing to a London charity store afterwards.
