Washington, Aug 16 : Singing legend Eric Clapton's former wife has claimed that the musician had hired a look-alike to take his driving test
Pattie Boyd has opened up about her marriage to the ace guitarist in her memoir, 'Wonderful Today'.
Suggesting that the 62-year-old is still driving on an illegal license, Boyd said that Clapton roped in his impersonator for the test.
"He didn't even take his own driving test - he got someone who looked like him to sit it for him," Comntactmusic quoted her, as saying.
The former model also revealed that the Brit musician was very particular about his shirts. He is, she also reveals, rather untidy.
"He had at least 200 shirts and he'd go berserk if I could not find the one he wanted that day... Eric was not naturally tidy. The bath was full of jumpers and shirts - that was where he stored them," she said.
