It seems that Paris Hiltons latest personality change is nothing but a charade staged by the heiress upon the suggestion of a crisis publicist.

New York, Aug 15 : It seems that Paris Hilton's latest personality change is nothing but a charade staged by the heiress upon the suggestion of a crisis publicist.

Of late, the former jailbird has been carrying the Bible with her always, holding kids to pose for pics and dressing up in a demure fashion.

However, sources say that the hotel heiress is trying to mend the damage created by her 23-day jail term, as she turned to spin doctor Michael Sitrick for advice.

"Paris hired a crisis publicist because of all the negative attention after she got out of jail. But it's just for her public image," The New York Post quoted the source, as saying.

"She's being smart right now, but she's a party girl at heart . . . we'll just have to wait and see," said another friend.

After the slammer showdown, Hilton kept away form her publicist Eliot Mintz for working with Sitrick who has managed celebs like Ryan Phillipe, Rush Limbaugh and Naomi Campbell when they were caught in scandals.

Along with the transformation in her dressing, demeanour, and staying away from parties, Hilton is no longer chatting with the photogs

"You can tell that it's hard for her that she is not supposed to be seeking the attention anymore. She is going to the types of events that her people tell her to go to. But she is definitely staying away from the club scene. Paris is all about her dogs and hanging out alone.," one photog said

However, Sitrick refused to take any credit for the changes in the socialite and said that the change is due to her experience in the slammer.

"Paris said when she got out of jail that it was a life-changing experience, and indeed she has changed. She's more involved in charities now - from volunteering at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles to her being a sponsor at a spinal cord injury fundraiser and more. People may try to read something into this that's not there - but that is who she is,' he said.
