New York, Aug 14 : Kevin Federline has been fired from the Keanu Reeves starrer in which he was set to appear.
Britney's ex hubby was to have appeared opposite Reeves in one scene in the film 'The Night Watchman'.
But thanks to the rumour mill which beefed up the story to such an extent that K-Fed's cameo turned into "starring opposite" the Matrix star, he was sacked from the role.
"He had a very small role; he was in a montage. He was fired from the film," the New York Daily News quoted a source, as saying.
However Federline, who is currently battling Britney for custody of their kids, was left in the dark about his getting the sack, and only found out when he arrived on set for a wardrobe call.
"Hs manager didn't tell him. Kevin found out when he turned up for a wardrobe call," the source added.
