Ratner chose Paris for Rush Hour 3 to please Chan and Tucker

Brett Ratner selected Paris as the best location for shooting Rush Hour 3 for actors Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker didnt want to shoot the film in their native continents.

Washington, Aug 14 : Brett Ratner selected Paris as the best location for shooting "Rush Hour 3' for actors Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker didn't want to shoot the film in their native continents.

Chan revealed that the action flick was first to be shot in Hawaii but Tucker urged Ratner to move the location to Bangkok which the Asian actor refused.

"For Rush Hour 3 the first draw was Hawaii. Hawaii is good for me, but Chris refused: 'No, we're in America'," Contactmusic quoted Chan, as saying.

"I said to Chris, 'Where do you want to go?' and he said, 'I want to go to Bangkok.' I'm the Asian boy, so Bangkok, no. I refused," he said.

It seems the director had to look for the best way to appease both the battling actors so he chose Paris to shoot the film.

"So then Brett Ratner said, 'OK, let's go to Paris.' Then we both agreed that Paris is good," Chan said.
