Pop star Lily Allen has posted a copy of her doctors note on her website to make fans know why she cancelled four scheduled European festival performances.

Washington, Aug 14 : Pop star Lily Allen has posted a copy of her doctor's note on her website to make fans know why she cancelled four scheduled European festival performances.

The 22-year-old wrote on her MySpace blog that she suffered from 'sinusitis and strep throat' and claimed she didn't even know what they were.

The 'Smile' singer insisted that the doctor advised her to take a break of couple of weeks.

The singer revealed that she was at home 'eating mum's chicken soup' and recovering.

"I've have literally been around the whole world in two weeks, from London to Japan around Australia and then to LA and Vegas then back to LA for a 17-hour video shoot," Contactmusic quoted Allen, as saying.

"Before anyone starts trying to accuse me of neglecting my fans I want to apologise and say how sorry I am, but I can't risk causing any permanent damage," she said.
