Samuel L. Jackson mimicked grandfathers tone for new film

Actor Samuel L. Jackson has revealed that he imitated his grandfathers style of speaking for his role in the new film Resurrecting The Champ.

Washington, Aug 13 : Actor Samuel L. Jackson has revealed that he imitated his grandfather's style of speaking for his role in the new film 'Resurrecting The Champ'.

The 'Unbreakable' star, who plays a homeless former boxing champion character, adopted his late granddad's high-pitched voice for the role.

Jackson said that he figured that the tone would make the audience pay more attention to what he is saying.

"At the end of his life, he talked with a high pitched voice, and always made me get closer to him so I could hear him,' Contactmusic quoted him, as saying..

"I actually made a lot of people on set kind of lean closer to listen. So I figured the audience would have to pay more attention to what Champ says because what he says is pretty profound," he added.
