Veteran filmmaker Martin Scorseses documentary about the legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones, will not release on 21 September as scheduled, say distributors.

Washington, Aug. 11 : Veteran filmmaker Martin Scorsese's documentary about the legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones, will not release on 21 September as scheduled, say distributors.

A statement from Paramount Classics confirmed that 'Shine a Light' would not be screened until April next year.

The Viacom-owned studio said that the things were held up because it required more time to promote the documentary, and the band was busy through the end of August with its European tour.

According to E!online, Scorsese has not commented on the delay as yet.

He shot the documentary last fall in New York City at the famed Beacon Theater. During the shooting, the band-Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood-performed with a slew of guests, including Buddy Guy, Jack White and Christina Aguilera.
