Alec Baldwin set to star in Bachelor No. 2

Actor Alec Baldwin has bagged a deal to star alongside Dane Cook and Kate Hudson in the movie Bachelor No. 2.

Washington, Aug. 11 : Actor Alec Baldwin has bagged a deal to star alongside Dane Cook and Kate Hudson in the movie 'Bachelor No. 2'.

Jordan Cahan has written the movie for entertainment company Lionsgate.

The film's story centres on a character called Tank, to be played by Cook, who is hired to take girls on horrible dates so they crawl back to the boyfriends they dumped. But he struggles with his libido and the meaning of friendship when his best friend needs his help with the girl who dumped him.

The shooting for the film, to be directed by Howard Deutch, begins next week in Boston. It will feature Baldwin in the role of Professor Thompson, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The actor, who is a strong contender for an Emmy Award for his role on the NBC comedy series '30 Rock', has recently appeared in the hit films 'The Good Shepherd' and 'The Departed'.
