Washington, Aug. 1 : Hotel heiress Paris Hilton says that she decided to sell her Hollywood mansion only because it was the only way out to regain her privacy.

The troubled star, who is looking for a secluded spot to escape the prying eyes of the press, has been a hot favourite among paparazzi ever since she has served 23 days of a 45-day jail sentence in June for violating probation on a 2006 drink driving charge.

Hilton insisted that the only way she could see to serve this purpose was to relinquish her four million-dollar pad.

"I feel like a lot of people know where I live so it's time to move," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"I'm really upset because I love my house so much. I put so much work into it. It's totally me. But I'm looking for something else right now," she added.
