bobble Teams Up With College Students Across the Country to Ban the Use of Single-Serve Plastic Bottles Through the #WaterRevolution

Today, bobble, a leading brand in the rapidly growing reusable, self-filtering water bottle category, announces the expansion of the #WaterRevolution program -- an initiative that supports the ban of single-serve plastic water bottles on college campuses. bobble's #WaterRevolution is currently in effect on six college campuses across the country and the brand plans to expand efforts next year.

Colleges nationwide are moving towards creating more sustainable campus environments and bobble is supporting this movement with its #WaterRevolution program. The brand has empowered six student leaders and their classmates with the tools to facilitate a campus ban of single-serve water bottles: Hunter Holmes who attends American University, Helia Bidad who attends University of California Berkeley, Graham Turbayne who attends Duke University, Danielle Faden who attends Northwestern University, Dorothy Qian who attends New York University, and Giselle Hart who attends the University of New Hampshire. Through conversations with administrators and peers about the incredible amount of waste bottled water generates (30+ billion bottles end up U.S. landfills each year), #WaterRevolution student activists are leading the charge for change.

This past spring 2014, bobble celebrated Harvard University's ban on bottled water with students and campus environmental groups who championed the change. To congratulate students, bobble provided more than 2,000 reusable bottles and a campus water refill station.
