Pomeroy Living Supporting National Senior Center Month

September 29, 2014 - Troy, MI

September is National Senior Center Month, and prominent Michigan senior living organization Pomeroy Living is a proud supporter of this cause. The goal of this month is to celebrate senior care centers, and also to highlight the positive aspects of aging. Pomeroy Living's vision is to inform, educate, inspire and serve a new culture of aging in America. With that vision always in mind, Pomeroy Living believes that aging should be celebrated and senior care centers that offer a hospitality-based atmosphere to their residents should be highlighted.

In honor of this month, Pomeroy Living is celebrating its seniors who live at its various communities across Michigan. The month of September also puts an emphasis on the senior care communities that these seniors reside in. With that in mind, Pomeroy Living believes that all senior care communities should strive to offer only the best in care. Adult children who are looking for a place for mom or dad to live should seek to find some of the following features for a new place for their loved one to live. Location, safety and security, staff and management accreditations, activities outside the community, meals offered, aesthetics and the actual home environment are things that should be highlighted as one is touring a community.

"In keeping with our vision, Pomeroy Living strongly believes that more of an emphasis should be placed on how wonderful and enriching senior care communities are," said Chairman Keith Pomeroy. Pomeroy Living recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and provides a broad array of services that will inform, educate and inspire a new culture of aging. Stefan Stration, President of Pomeroy Living, added, "Our organization puts an emphasis on offering a different way to care at each of our senior care communities. We believe in celebrating our seniors every day, not just in this particular month, and offering impeccable care that should be demanded by anyone residing at one of our communities."

Pomeroy Living owns or partners with numerous senior living communities across Michigan. Included in their portfolio are senior living communities in Sterling Heights (Cherrywood Nursing & Living Center), Rochester Hills (Boulevard Health Center), and the currently under construction memory care community in Northville (Beacon Square). Pomeroy Living specializes in innovative, quality senior care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and rehabilitation.

The vision of Pomeroy Living is to give "meaning and purpose to the adults we serve, foster vibrancy in their lives and ours, and to create a world that, in essence, works for everyone." In everything they do, they constantly are giving back to the community with their time, resources, and donations made by each individual community they own or operate.
