The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that for the weeks ending both July 11 and July 18, U.S. refinery inputs were more than 16.8 million barrels per day (BBL/d), eclipsing the previous record, set for the week ending July 1, 2005, of 16,799 BBL/d. U.S. refineries operated at 93.8% capacity for both weeks.
