Harmonic Plans to Complete Destructive Testing of Remanufactured Tires
July 16, 2014 - London, United Kingdom
Harmonic Energy Inc. (OTCQB: ASUV) is a company focused on tire manufacturing and recycling using an innovative approach to energy efficiency and sustainability. Harmonic is pleased to announce that it is going to have the quality of remanufactured tires remolded by its selected tire manufacturing technologies tested under extreme testing measures known as "Destructive Testing."
Harmonic will use Smithers Rapra as an independent quality control advisor and destructive tire testing agent to complete a number of extensive physical tests on these tires in Smithers tire testing lab which is supported by compound development, analysis and a full failure analysis service. Having these significant tests completed will enable Harmonic to apply for its own US DOT certification which when qualified would enable Harmonic's remanufactured tires to meet the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) safety measures and to have United States Department of Transportation Symbol on all tires the tires it plans to remanufacture, when all qualification are meet, the US DOT symbol will be featured on the sidewalls of all Harmonic new tires.
Understanding tires and tire mechanics is critical in determining their influence on the ride, handling and safety of the cars and trucks that depend on these tires. Steering, acceleration and braking actions are transmitted to the road through the tires in quite often adverse conditions. Ultimately they are the means by which a vehicle remains controllable and are the only point of contact with the ground. Smithers recognizes the importance and legislative demands for accurate tire mechanics and will assist the company with tire testing to understand tyre construction, material selection and lifetime expectations. Smithers has a team of tire technologists which can create customized testing programs to meet Harmonic's goals which will provide further industry proof that the Harmonic's tires are of the highest standard and fit for purpose. Harmonic believes in having its tires validated by a reputable independent testing house such as Smithers, which will likely increase the company's tires acceptance in the marketplace.
ASUV believes that its vertically integrated tire manufacturing and recycling systems hold the key to a profitable, sustainable market for the growth of a greener tire manufacturing sector by providing a complete end to end solution. Harmonic plans to be the first company to integrate these two technologies to provide a comprehensive 'closed-loop' solution for the management of scrap tires, which is a global problem. By design, Harmonic plans to offer a solution that replicates nature's intentions by developing symbiosis between waste, energy supply and sustainable growth.
