ECCO2 GP Enters Delegations at UN First PrepCom and Launch of International Year of the Small Island Developing States

ECCO2 Global Partners, an intergovernmental association of international civil society groups will attend the Launch of the International Year of the Small Island Developing States and the first PrepCom to be held from 24-26 February, 2014 in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City as an observer of delegations on behalf of CMOCDAPUNDHJ in pursuit to broaden the awareness and support for their civil society endeavors and diplomatic missions in Micronesia, the West Indies, and Latin America for Millennium Development Goals.
H.E. Cary Lee Peterson, Executive Chairman of ECCO2 GP tells the press that he has anticipates this meeting will enable ECCO2 GP representatives and participating delegates to discuss current and future program development and operations of ECCO2 GP in the Mariana Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the West Indies, and Latin American to support education, healthcare, sustainable tourism, global partnerships, agriculture, sustainable eco-systems, anti-corruption and energy efficiency solutions to aid climate change.
Currently ECCO2 GP has two civil society partnerships accepted into the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States in 2014 at the United Nations in the Member States of Jamaica and Haiti, in conjunction with Concile Mondial de Congres Diplomatiques des Aumoniers pour la Paix Universelle des Droits Humains et Juridiques (CMOCDAPUNDHJ), an international organization in special consultative status at the Economic and Social Council of United Nations.
New development and talks to launch similar civil society partnership platforms with non-governmental organizations, Member Parties, and private sectors in Guam, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Gilbert Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guyana, St. Lucia, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are scheduled for the upcoming months in 2014 following finalization of pending negotiations with financial aid partners, sponsors, and other affiliated parties.
