China Securitization Forum Chairman Mr. Liu Borong to Speak at Conference in New York City

November 3, 2014 - NEW YORK, NY

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 03, 2014) - China Securitization Forum (the "Forum") Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Liu Borong will be travelling from Beijing to New York City to speak at the China Finance Association annual conference on November 9, 2014. At the conference, Mr. Liu is expected to describe the current state of asset securitization finance in China, and also introduce the Forum as a newly reconstituted private-sector industry association.

The asset securitization finance markets in China have experienced significant growth during the past year. Remarks by China's Premier Li Keqiang at an August 29, 2013 meeting of the State Council of the People's Republic of China may have been the spark that ignited the recent blaze of structured finance activity in China. At that meeting, Premier Li called for the development of a robust asset securitization industry as an integral component of revamping China's financial markets. Asset securitization finance is viewed as a promising new source of capital funding for China's real economy.

Following upon the remarks from Premier Li in support of asset securitization finance, the Forum has also recently completed a comprehensive reorganization process. The reorganization enhances the Forum's ability to engage in advocacy, education and industry-wide consensus-building activities in furtherance of its core mission. The Forum's mission is to promote and advance asset securitization finance in China.

Forum Chairman Liu's participation in the upcoming China Finance Association conference on November 9 will provide an important opportunity for China Finance Association members to meet and build synergy with their contemporaries in China.

During his upcoming trip to the United States Mr. Liu will also meet with leadership and staff of the Structured Finance Industry Group ("SFIG"). SFIG is a trade industry group focused on improving and strengthening structured finance and asset securitization markets in the United States. The Forum has already established a long-term cooperative relationship with SFIG.

The Forum has also already established permanent liaison offices in New York and London. The New York office is staffed by Philip Zhang, Forum Deputy Secretary General, and Richard Mertl, assistant to the Secretary General. The London office is staffed by Emily Wang, assistant to the Secretary General.

Membership in the Forum is widely open to Chinese and non-Chinese institutions, organizations, entities and individuals participating or interested in asset securitization, structured finance or related capital markets. Information about becoming a member of the Forum is available on the Forum website at www.chinasecuritization.org
