USDM and Generis Are Partnering to Provide an End-to-End Replacement Program for CFR 21 Part 11 Compliant Applications That Run on the Documentum Platform, Such as First Doc and Document Compliance Manager (DCM) Involving a Combination of Generis' CARA Product and USDM's Industry Consulting Services
September 18, 2013 - Santa Barbara, CA
USDM, a leading global regulatory consulting firm in the life sciences space, is proud to announce their support of current ECM industry technology changes by teaming with Generis who have been providing leading-edge software for content management systems including Documentum, SharePoint, Alfresco and Oracle WebCenter since 1997.
USDM and Generis have partnered to provide CARA as a solution for Documentum clients looking to upgrade, move to a new platform, or replace FirstDocs or DCM. Generis has been providing software for content management since 2002, when the first version of CARA was released. Generis now has close to 50 customers, with the majority in Life Sciences and including many with enterprise-wide unlimited licensing. CARA is the most advanced, fastest and most feature-rich user interface for Documentum, Alfresco and Oracle WebCenter. CARA is supported by other modules such as DocSecure for watermarking and eSignature.
"USDM is excited about this new offering which allows our customers to seamlessly upgrade to the newest technology, taking advantage of all platforms including mobile for a superior user experience," said Gerald O'Driscoll, Vice President of USDM's ECM Practice. "When working with documents under regulatory control CARA can be seamlessly mapped to meet existing and future business processes eliminating the headaches of data migration."
"The opportunity to work with USDM and leverage their expertise in all areas of content management implementation and support is of key importance to us," said James Kelleher, CEO of Generis. "This helps us focus our efforts on continuing to address the needs and frustrations of Webtop users who are looking for a smooth path to their next generation system, without the major changes and data migration imposed by some of the alternatives. USDM will bring their Life Sciences industry experience to bear in tailoring CARA deployments to specific business use cases and regulatory requirements of our customers."
Supporting these technology offerings, USDM brings a strong, proven professional services organization to assist customers in qualification, validation, auditing, risk management and other compliance-related projects, including implementation and IT architecture services. Together, the Generis and USDM team will perform all needed preliminary project/business needs assessments, piloting of the solution, initial deployments with qualification/validation and roll-out to the customer site, multiple sites or global operations.
USDM and Generis will be hosting a number of demos and informational webinars over the next few months -- details will be available on their respective websites.
