Further reinforcement of the cooperation between TataSky and Technicolor The India leading satellite operator renews its contract forTechnicolor MediaPlay STBs
Technicolor (Euronext Paris : TCH) todayannounced that it has won two extension contracts from Tata Sky, India'sleadingsatellite operator with over 8 million subscribers. Pursuant to thelongstanding relationship between both parties and the commercial successof itshigh-definition (HD) and standard-definition (SD) digital TV offerings,Tata Skyhas granted Technicolor, until mid 2015, extension of the initialcontracts forthe STBs already delivered over the past years:
* The HD-enabled zapper (MediaPlay DSI715) is optimized to deliver all essential features at low cost while enabling future-proof servicessuch as video on demand.
* The SD satellite zapper (MediaPlay DSI309) has been tailored to TataSky's needs and enables MPEG-4 decoding in a compact design.
