New York State Board of Elections Selects AssetWorks Software to Manage Election Assets

May 13, 2013 - Albany, New York

AssetWorks Inc., a leading provider of software solutions for asset- and infrastructure-intensive businesses, today announced that the New York State Board of Elections (NYSBOE) has selected AssetWorks to provide comprehensive asset management software for managing voting systems in the State of New York. The solution, which includes the ability to track locations and all relevant data, places an added emphasis on maintenance.

Customized maintenance and calibration functionality can help the NYSBOE reliably track maintenance and inspection activity on voting machines used across the State's 62 counties. Various levels of user access, approval processes and a complete auditable history can help ensure the integrity of the voting machines and the voting process.

Established in 1974, the New York State Board of Elections is responsible for administering and enforcing the Election Law in the State of New York. The agency is also tasked with preserving citizen confidence in the democratic process. As of November 2012, nearly 12 million citizens were registered vote across the State of New York.
