Kindred Bio Announces Closing of Initial Public Offering

December 17, 2013 - SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Kindred Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: KIN) (Kindred Bio), a biopharmaceutical company focused on saving and improving the lives of pets, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 8,625,000 shares of its common stock at an initial public offering price of $7.00 per share, which included 1,125,000 shares sold pursuant to the exercise in full by the underwriters of their over-allotment option. Kindred Bio's common stock is listed on The NASDAQ Capital Market under the trading symbol "KIN." Kindred Bio estimates net proceeds from the offering to be approximately $56,148,750 million, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses.

BMO Capital Markets and Guggenheim Securities acted as book-running managers for the offering. Roth Capital Partners acted as co-manager for the offering.
