An Internet Entrepreneur and Southern California Native Is Bringing His Niche Fitness Business to Los Angeles
October 23, 2013 - LOS ANGELES, CA
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - October 23, 2013) - 26-year-old Josh Minney will open his first Muscle Ropes location this Saturday at 5369 W. Pico Blvd in the Mid City area of Los Angeles. The store will be the first in the country solely devoted to exercise ropes, which have grown in popularity thanks to the Crossfit movement and shows like NBC's Biggest Loser.
When asked about the move from e-commerce to retail as so many businesses are headed in the opposite direction, Minney states, "Every day we get phone calls from people interested in our ropes but they aren't sure where to start. They've either seen them on TV or at the gym but don't know which rope is right for them. With our new store we're going to eliminate the guesswork, fit you for the perfect rope and then show you how to use it."
Muscle Ropes LA will be a resource for individuals, personal trainers, gyms, and schools that are looking to add ropes to their training routine. The store will allow customers to try out all of the different ropes before buying and will also offer instructional classes taught by certified trainers.
The ropes, commonly called "battle ropes" are a low impact training tool typically 40-50' in length and 1.5-2 inches in diameter. They are used to perform over 30 different moves capable of targeting individual muscles or entire muscle groups including the core. A typical conditioning routine would consist of 30 seconds of activity followed by 30 seconds of rest for up to 10 rounds as part of a high intensity interval training (HIIT) session.
