Fredericksburg, VA Hotel Honored for 3rd Consecutive Year for Guest Satisfaction

July 26, 2013 - Fredericksburg, VA

When it comes to standards, nothing's good as gold, and on May 31, 2013, the Courtyard Fredericksburg Historic District, offering Fredericksburg, VA suites, was recognized with the Gold Award at Marriott's annual CFRST General Managers Conference.

Held in Orlando, the conference focused on Iconic Leaders, both in and outside of the company. More than 2,700 general managers from Marriott's five select-service brands -- Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites -- came together to learn about new initiatives and programs, focus on leadership skills and pick up tools to improve hotel performance. They also gathered to honor top properties, including these Fredericksburg, VA accommodations.

This Fredericksburg, VA lodging was honored for the third consecutive year, this year coming home with the Gold Award, given to the top 10% of 934 Courtyards in 28 countries. The win was based on Guest Satisfaction Survey (GSS) scores, and the hotel's general manager, Tony Kala, and vice president of operations, Brian Cook, were on hand to receive the award.

Those in attendance were also treated to a star-studded lineup of speakers who epitomize the Iconic Leaders theme. Speakers included former President Bill Clinton, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo Indra Nooyi, Marriott president and CEO Arne Sorenson and executive chairman and business icon J.W. Marriott, Jr.
