Post-9/11 Veterans Offered Free Training and Certification in Roofing Contractor Sales

July 24, 2012 - Westminster, CO

Getting post-9/11 military back to good-paying civilian work is the goal of a new jobs building partnership between the 3C Network and USA Cares, Inc.

Through the USA Cares' "Jobs for Vets" program, 3C Network is offering the nation's newest Veterans free training and certification to become professional roofing inspectors and contract managers who will work to restore storm-damaged homes and businesses across the country.

Training is on-line and normally costs over $300. But in partnership with USA Cares, 3C is offering the training free to post-9/11 Veterans who qualify in the Jobs for Vets program. The training is offered online and self-paced -- typically taking between a few days to a couple of weeks. There are nine courses through the online training provider, InterNACHI.

The trained Veteran will then be qualified in sales as a roofing contractor and be hired by 3C Network-member contractors across the country. "We are so proud to offer this training to those who have showed they are true heroes for all of us," said L.C. Nussbeck, CEO of 3C Network. "We are confident veterans will enjoy a future career as roofing contractors -- well beyond the financial reward. They get to travel to storm-damaged areas and have the camaraderie with fellow contractors on the road with them as well as make a difference in peoples' lives as they restore communities."

3C Network is a technology and business services company that provides roofing contractors with business solutions, such as cloud-based measuring and estimating tools, training and warranties. 3C Network's member contractors are committed to hiring veterans and providing them with opportunities to have viable careers in roofing management.

"As a veteran myself, I understand the importance of honoring those that put their lives in danger to protect our freedom," said Todd Rhyne, owner of Rhyne Restoration and a member contractor of 3C Network. "It really is a priority to put these veterans to work and I know first-hand veterans have the skills to be successful as a roofing contractor selling roofs and using the technology that supports this career."

USA Cares is a national military assistance nonprofit that works to eliminate financial burdens to the military and their families that are caused by their service to the nation.

"As our military struggle to get to their normal lives, this program will be another, effective offering to help them do that," said Jennifer Robinson, vice president of assistance for USA Cares. "Veterans are dedicated, focused and loyal employees. We are happy to serve them again as they transition to their new lives."
