Jake Steinfeld Adds Music to His Body by Jake(R) Fitness Empire With Universal Music Enterprises Deal

October 9, 2012 - Santa Monica, CA

Jake Steinfeld has teamed with Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), a division of Universal Music Group, to launch Body by Jake Music®, a series of compilations and musical tracks by some of today's hottest artists and most in-demand producers, DJs and mixers. These unique compilations will be designed as a song-by-song soundtrack for every body and any workout, the hottest songs matching the right BPMs (beats per minute) for pilates, spinning, walking, lifting, yoga, kick boxing, running, the treadmill, and any kind of workout in between.

"Our goal is to create the fitness version of the Now series," Jake insists, and given our track record in the fitness world, that's no idle boast. "Great music travels. It's amazing how energized you can feel, listening to exhilarating music. That's why we teamed up with UMe, they have the best selection of music and artists in the world, add the expertise of science from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), now you have the recipe for success."

Body by Jake Music® is different from a mix tape or other traditional music "workout tapes." A song's tempo and rhythm are determined by BPMs. BPMs create the timing for the movements and each compilation will be produced to match the level of intensity of a particular workout. When the user's pace coincides with the BPMs, it increases endurance, thereby producing a stronger and longer workout. The result is a super compilation that is not only motivational, but is also science based.

Jim Whitehead, CEO of ACSM notes, "The connection between exercise and music has been examined by scientists for years. Listening to music can increase a sense of motivation, provide entertaining distraction, and encourage greater effort. Matching music to specific types of exercise, and to specific goals for exercise, is innovative and state-of-the-art."

"Let's face it. Exercise can be boring," acknowledges Jake. "But with great music, it can take the edge off of any exercise routine. Music has the power to stimulate, inspire get you to go that extra mile, do that last set of reps and reach or go beyond your goal. We want you to look forward to your next workout because the music, your experience and results are that good."

The first compilation, Ripped And Toned Workout from Body by Jake Music® includes such world-class artists as Lady Gaga ("Marry the Night"), Fergie f/Ludacris ("Glamorous"), DEV ("In The Dark"), Taio Cruz f/Ludacris ("Break Your Heart"), OneRepublic ("All The Right Moves"), LMFAO f/Lauren Bennett & GoonRock ("Party Rock Anthem"), Jessie J ("Who You Are"), La Roux ("Bulletproof"), and Far East Movement f/the Cataracs f/DEV ("Like A G6") and DEV f/the Cataracs ("Bass Down Low"), featuring exclusive remixes by top names in the electronic dance field, including Seamus Haji, Dave Aude, Fred Falke, Static Revenger, Space Cowboy, Mixin Mark and Tony Svejda, Christopher Lawrence, Disco Fries and Zedd.

Body by Jake Music® makes it easy and is now a one-stop shop for all fitness music needs.
