Hallmark Gives Cody Simpson Fans a Piece of "Paradise" With New Greeting Card Line

October 1, 2012 - Kansas City, MO

On the eve of Cody Simpson's highly anticipated album "Paradise" launch tomorrow, Hallmark announces a partnership with the 15-year-old singer and songwriter that will bring a piece of "paradise" to mailboxes and his millions of fans everywhere. In January 2013, Hallmark will offer a Cody Simpson greeting card line, featuring more than 40 greeting cards. Additional Cody Simpson products will be announced soon.

"We've had the privilege of working with Cody since this spring, when he helped us launch Hallmark Text Bands -- an interactive wristband that allows kids to trade messages by bumping fists or shaking hands," said Jenny Hofeditz, Licensing Director at Hallmark. "We're excited to continue this relationship and help Cody Simpson fans connect with each other and celebrate their love for Cody with Hallmark greeting cards and other Hallmark products."

Perfect for birthdays or "just because," Hallmark Cody Simpson cards will come in a variety of formats, including 3D cards and Cards with Sound. The cards will showcase photos of the teen heart throb and incorporate messages and designs celebrating Cody's passions -- the Australian Gold Coast and surfing. Some cards also will include attachments, such as mini lapel pins, temporary tattoos, locker magnets or stickers.

"Hallmark has an exceptional team, who pushed the creative envelope, no pun, adding fun surprises in Cody's collection," says Sara Nemerov, SVP Consumer Products & Brand Licensing at Warner Music Group.

"As a songwriter who uses lyrics to connect with others, it made perfect sense for me to partner with Hallmark, the leading greeting card brand that also uses words to help people make meaningful connections," said Cody Simpson. "I can't wait for my fans to check out my new line of Hallmark greeting cards in January, and stay tuned for more Cody Simpson and Hallmark news coming soon!"

Ranging in price from $2.99 for standard greetings to $9.99 for Big Time Sound cards, Hallmark Cody Simpson greeting cards will be available in Hallmark Gold Crown stores, Wal-Mart stores and Walgreens stores. For more information, visit
