ENLASO Contributes to EU Initiative to Develop Standards to Support Adaptation of Web Content

March 16, 2012 - Boulder, CO

ENLASO Corporation, a leading translation and localization services company, is pleased to announce its participation in the MultilingualWeb-LT Working Group. Announced on March 7, 2012 by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the MultilingualWeb-LT Working Group's primary mission is to develop standards to better integrate language technologies with web technologies, content management systems, and localization work flows. The Working Group will examine the standardization of content information (the "metadata") with commonly used tools to ultimately improve translation quality, expand language coverage (especially for those languages that are less widely spoken), and reduce costs. ENLASO is partnering with the European Union, content creators, localization companies, language technology experts, browser vendors, tool makers, and users to provide integration of language technologies into web technologies, content management systems, and localization work flows.

Yves Savourel, ENLASO's Localization Solutions architect and a key leader and published author regarding internationalization and localization technology, says: "It is a great honor to be working with the W3C and some of the premier technology leaders in the world on such an important and innovative initiative that has such wide-ranging benefits to reduce the barriers to localization worldwide."

John Watkins, ENLASO's President, goes on to further state: "ENLASO's entire business model has been built on the great value we have placed on developing standards to reliably ensure quality in our deliverables to customers. Our participation in the MultilingualWeb-LT working group continues to further our goals in this regard."
