Boston Region Entrepreneurship Week (BREW) Rolls Out Fundraising Efforts to Benefit Local Non-Profits

October 1, 2012 - BOSTON, MA

Boston Region Entrepreneurship Week (BREW) announced today that it will host the BREW Spotlight Fundraiser on October 15 at Cummings Properties TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. This event will be the official start of the 2012 celebration which is taking place during the weeks of October 15 - October 26. Constant Contact, a leader in engagement marketing, is sponsoring the BREW Spotlight Fundraiser event and will be presenting a session on engagement marketing, followed by a panel of local experts answering audience questions about growing and building a business.

"We are also thrilled to announce a partnership with LevelUp to support the BREW Spotlight initiative. LevelUp users can elect to donate directly to BREW using the free LevelUp app that enables users to pay with their phone at 3,500 local businesses," said Christine Sierra, Executive Director of BREW.

The BREW Spotlight is a program aimed at educating the community on the valuable resources available to entrepreneurs through three non-profit organizations in Massachusetts. This year's highlighted non-profits include, Merrimack Valley Sandbox Initiative and These organizations are helping to launch, support and educate current and future entrepreneurs on starting and running a business.

"We are launching the BREW Spotlight to give back to the organizations that are helping Massachusetts to support its entrepreneur community," continued Sierra. "During two weeks in October, people can attend and participate in events such as educational workshops, expert panel discussions and networking events. We accept submissions right through the BREW celebration and encourage the community to get involved."

Due to popular demand, BREW is also hosting the BREW CEO Lunch Program once again. Some of Greater Boston's most successful entrepreneurs (now CEOs) have agreed to have lunch with an aspiring entrepreneur and share their stories of how they got to where they are today.
