AMA Houston Announces Its March Networking Luncheon

March 7, 2012 - HOUSTON, TX

The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association, the area's leading marketing organization, announces its March Networking Luncheon, "Radio is a Medium Rarely Well Done," held at the Junior League of Houston on March 14.

In the Internet age of 24/7, consumers are able to gather and access vast amounts of information at the touch of a button, from almost anywhere. And with a growing multiplicity of digital access devices, it can be confusing for any business with a story to tell and a message to deliver. So what does that mean for the future of broadcast radio? And how should marketers look at and use this 100+ year old mass medium?

Graham McKernan Jr, vice president of marketing for 1560 The Game and chief marketing officer at Yahoo! Sports Radio, will explain why "Radio is a Medium Rarely Well Done," and how to best utilize it to achieve business goals in today's information packed environment.

McKernan spent his entire career in broadcast media, and is the co-founder of both 1560 The Game, Houston's leading sports radio station, and Yahoo! Sports Radio. The Game was acquired by Yahoo! Sports Radio in 2011 to become the flagship station for the new national radio group, which now has over 200 affiliates across the US.

The luncheon will be held at the Junior League of Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks Lane, on March 14 at 11:30 a.m. Register online at by Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m.
