Travel Advantage Network Employees Support Homes For Our Troops

June 24, 2011 - Millersville, MD

Employees of Travel Advantage Network (TAN), a wholesale vacation accommodations program, raised $820 during a month-long fundraising endeavor for Homes For Our Troops.

Venus Dorrycott, a team member in Travel Advantage Network's Account Management department, personally selected this charity because of her family's involvement with the military and the charity's impact on wounded U.S. soldiers.

Homes For Our Troops raises donations for and coordinates the building of specially modified housing for members of all branches of the military that qualify for assistance.

"I find organizations such as Homes For Our Troops invaluable," stated Dorrycott. "Having a home where you are able to move about freely is a luxury, one that we often take for granted. The contribution of money, building materials, and hard work are things that take a large weight off of the shoulders of our Nation's injured armed forces, and we at TAN are thankful for being able to give back."

Travel Advantage Network is focused on being actively engaged with charitable organizations, with fundraising initiatives undertaken each month by employees. During the month of May, employees supported Homes For Our Troops by featuring pay-to-wear-jeans days, a 50/50 raffle, and a bake sale -- with all proceeds going to the charity.
