Tokyo Electric to Begin Construction of Fukushima Containment Covers This Month, an Industrial Info News Alert

Researched by Industrial Info Resources East Asia (Kofu-shi, Japan) -- On Tuesday, June 14, Tokyo Electric Power Company Incorporated (TYO:9501) (TEPCO) (Tokyo) released information regarding construction of temporary containment covers for units 1, 3 and 4 at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station. TEPCO was originally expected to begin construction at the beginning of June; however, plans seem to have been delayed to June 27. TEPCO expects to begin site preparation for units 3 and 4 when construction of Unit 1's containment cover begins.
