QUOSA Expands Partnership With Copyright Clearance Center to Streamline Compliant Access to Scientific Literature

June 8, 2011 - Waltham, MA

QUOSA, Inc., a leading provider of scientific literature management solutions, has entered into a newly expanded partnership with not-for-profit organization and leading provider of licensing solutions, Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). QUOSA will offer new integration options with CCC's RightSphere rights advisory tool to its business and academic customers interested in streamlining copyright compliant access to scientific literature. The new integration options include more levels of service that make it easier than ever for QUOSA users to manage, share, archive full-text articles and other content in a copyright-compliant manner without any interruption to their workflow.

"Our life science customers are demanding immediate access to all kinds of scientific literature, including journal articles, databases and related content," said Malcolm MacKenzie, President and CEO, QUOSA. "The last thing they want is to worry that their users are violating copyright laws."

The RightSphere rights advisory tool bridges the gap between knowledge sharing and copyright compliance, and provides clear answers to content usage questions without interrupting user workflow.

"RightSphere makes it very easy for users to see immediately which content they have permission to access, without interrupting their workflow," said MacKenzie. "We are very pleased to offer this helpful tool, now with more integration options to our customers."

"We are excited about the opportunity to work with QUOSA to provide a better workflow experience for today's knowledge workers. We know that copyright compliance is complicated and our goal in this partnership is to make it easy," said Miles McNamee, VP, Licensing and Business Development, CCC.
