Midas Distribution Estimate

June 9, 2011 - NEW YORK, NY

A dividend distribution was declared on June 8, 2011 by Midas Fund, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIDSX) and Midas Perpetual Portfolio, Inc. (NASDAQ: MPERX) payable on June 30, 2011 to shareholders of record as of June 29, 2011. As of the date of this press release, the per share distribution is estimated as follows:

Midas Fund Ordinary income of less than $0.06 per share
No capital gain distribution

Midas Perpetual
Portfolio Long term capital gain of less than $0.03 per share

This is a preliminary estimate and may change between the date of this press release and the ex-date. A precise estimate of the amount of the distribution is not possible because the number of shares outstanding on record date cannot be determined in advance.

The distribution will be reinvested or paid out in cash, according to the instructions associated with each shareholder's account.
