June 17 Webinar to Reveal "Top Social Media Tools" Poll Results and Tips -- Free Event Is Presented by NY/IABC, Dragon Search and Sarah Evans

June 8, 2011 - NEW YORK, NY

The New York Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (NY/IABC) and CommPRO.biz have conducted an online poll of communications and marketing professionals seeking to understand how they use social media to drive organizational goals -- and which leading social media tools they use to achieve those results. Several poll results included:

  • 34% or respondents spend 3-5 hours on social media for business purposes each week
  • 55.8% of respondents don't use social media for internal or employee communications
  • 51.3% of respondents plan on shifting 10%-25% of their traditional communications budgets to social media activities in the next year
  • Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Google Analytics rank as the 5 most used social media related tools

Complete results will be revealed in a free 60-minute webinar titled "The Communicator's Guide to the Social Media Landscape" on Friday, June 17 at 1 p.m. EST. The event will outline the top 10 social media tools according to survey results -- and how to use them to build brand exposure, customer communications, site traffic and SEO. Panelists and presenters include: NY/IABC President Rob Drasin (host), Dragon Search CEO Ric Dragon (presenter), and Sevans Strategy Owner Sarah Evans (guest). Since then, the nature of its membership has evolved and changed to reflect the New York City communication market.
