Hubspan Teams With Cloud Security Alliance to Offer PCI DSS Training

June 8, 2011 - SEATTLE, WA

Hubspan, the leading provider of cloud-scale B2B integration solutions, today announced it is joining forces with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) to offer a training course on PCI DSS compliance for cloud computing. The courseware, developed by PCI expert Dr. Anton Chuvakin, will educate IT personnel about cloud computing, cloud security and its relevance for PCI DSS compliance. The in-depth, one day training sessions will be taught by qualified CCSK-certified instructors who have direct experience with cloud security and PCI DSS compliance.

"PCI DSS is arguably one of the most far-reaching standards today because it affects every organization who accepts, processes or stores credit cards and millions of cardholder customers, and it is also becoming the defacto standard for best-in-class data protection principles for any industry," said Ian Huynh, vice president of engineering and operations at Hubspan. "As a cloud vendor that maintains PCI DSS compliance, Hubspan is taking an active role in helping other businesses understand the methodologies and importance of the PCI mandate and overall cloud security."

The Cloud Security Alliance is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote best practices for providing security assurance in cloud computing, and support a common level of understanding between consumers and providers of cloud computing regarding security requirements in the cloud.

Hubspan complies with numerous mandates on behalf of its customers including: PCI DSS, SAS 70 Type 2, OWASP Top 10 and the Cloud Security Alliance guidelines. The company's support of CSA's PCI DSS courseware is further evidence of Hubspan's commitment to help fellow members create best practices around cloud security. Hubspan's integration solutions and services are based on the principle of "secure by default," with a system that incorporates defense-in-depth and the highest levels of application, network and data security.

"Through the support of leading cloud security companies like Hubspan, CSA can offer tremendous opportunities that help our members build the utmost secure environments, and we applaud their contribution," said Jim Reavis, Executive Director, Cloud Security Alliance.
