HotCloud Mobile, Inc. Partners With FanMaxx to Develop Celebrity-Targeted App for Smartphones

June 16, 2011 - Burbank, CA

HotCloud Mobile, Inc. (OTCBB: HOTM), a vertically integrated wireless telecommunications company that operates three business units: Products; services; and content, stated today that it is partnering with LA-based FanMaxx to develop a patented, celebrity-targeted social media app for smartphones which will address the celebrity "fan" market.

The FanMaxx app will allow celebrities to maximize the fan experience and monetize their fan base while building a "brand." Through exclusive content, personalized experiences and social sharing, celebrities will take control of their messaging and shape their "image" to a degree never before possible.

"Current social media sites like Twitter and Facebook pose challenges for celebrities," stated Mr. David J. Bleeden, CEO of HotCloud Mobile, Inc. "These sites have inherent limitations, and managing multiple media streams can become a full-time job for a celebrity and their staff. On top of that, how do they monetize it? FanMaxx will bridge the gap between 'fan clubs' and social media, creating an application that a celebrity can use to engage their fans and control and customize the information they are sharing. It's bringing the 'fan club' into the 21st century by allowing fans to gain a personal introspective on the daily activities of their favorite celebrities."

According to Twittercounter.com, musicians top the ranks with Twitter followers. Lady Gaga has over 10 million followers, Justin Bieber has over 10 million followers, Britney Spears has over 8 million followers. All of the top 20 most popular people on the Internet are celebrities, with the exception of #8, US President Obama, according to Business Insider.

Mr. Bleeden added, "A celebrity can monetize their fan base with FanMaxx. Having 10 million Twitter followers is great, but having the ability to monetize a portion of those followers with a targeted, personalized app that's always connected to the fans, is the next step. It's great for the celebrities, but it's also great for the fans, as it has the ability to be much more personal and engaging than current solutions.

"Furthermore, the celebrity participates in the recurring revenue stream generated by the monthly app subscription. With 1 million Twitter followers, if only 1% of those fans subscribe to the celebrity's app, you're talking about a significant new income stream. Celebrities can increase revenue opportunities by marketing directly to fans, offering incentives like concert tickets and merchandise for participating in contests and giveaways and much more. The FanMaxx app will provide the targeted marketing platform that is lacking in the social media space."

International marketing expert and social media consultant Dr. Matthew Loop says that the advantages for celebrities personally interacting on a social network include, "Massive amounts of viral exposure, good PR and buzz; builds good karma and trust for you and your brand; quickly increases credibility and creates rapport with followers worldwide; makes fans feel like there's a way to connect more personally with you (HUGE); and, you can TRIPLE your brand revenue from the Internet if a proven marketing strategy is in place."

"We are currently in negotiations with a major media brand and anticipate announcing the details of the proposed partnership very shortly. When completed, the proposed deal could provide HotCloud with access to a huge base of celebrity talent to market the FanMaxx app to," concluded Mr. Bleeden.
