Franklin Wireless Celebrates 30 Years in the Telecommunications Industry


February 22, 2011 - SAN DIEGO, CA

Franklin Wireless Corp. (OTCBB: FKWL), the market leader in dual-mode WiMAX and CDMA modems for 3G and 4G wireless broadband data communications, today announced that it is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the telecommunications industry. The Company was founded in 1981 under the name Franklin Telecommunications Corp. and was a supplier of various communications devices as well as LAN, WAN and satellite systems and software and was an early pioneer and innovator of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. In 2003, Franklin Telecommunications merged with cell phone designer Accetio Inc., and the company was renamed Franklin Wireless. Today, Franklin Wireless enjoys a leadership position in the dual-mode USB modem market and its expanding product portfolio also includes single-mode USB modems, stand-alone modems, embedded modules and Wi-Fi "hotspot" routers. The Company recently announced the upcoming launch of the M700 Series of embedded modules as well as the U700 Series of USB modems, which will operate over LTE, HSPA+ and EVDO networks.
