Focus Gold Corp. Continues Extensive Mapping With Further Evidence of Copper Gold Porphyry System

June 24, 2011 - Reno, NV

Focus Gold Corporation (OTCBB: FGLD) has done extensive geologic mapping of its Focus Gold Mexico claims over the past several months. Some of the key findings include:

i) A deeply eroded, porphyry gold-copper system has been identified on the Cila claim block.

ii) A diatreme breccia has been identified on the Cila claim block. Diatreme breccias are a well-established host for Cu and Au mineralization in porphyry deposits.

iii) The diatreme breccia at Cila is extensively altered (potassic alteration) and locally mineralized (chalcopyrite and gold-bearing arsenopyrite). The diatreme breccia has been traced for over a kilometer in strike length.

iv) Vein mineralization like that exposed at Tres Estrellas and Miravalles provides a helpful guide to stockwork and disseminated gold mineralization.

v) Stockwork gold and copper mineralization has been identified at La Onza where a 3-meter channel sample returned 0.8 g/t gold. Stockworks are high temperature (amphibole-bearing) and, so far, have been restricted to the potassic alteration zone.

vi) Stockwork gold mineralization was recognized in fresh road cuts on the main access road.

vii) The hydrothermal system covers at least three square kilometers. In addition, potassic alteration and disseminated mineralization has been identified a kilometer east of the Miravalles mine and chalcopyrite mineralization a kilometer north of the Miravalles mine.

Grant White, CEO of Focus Gold, commented, "The results of our findings in Mexico continue to be encouraging in terms of identifying the scale of a copper gold porphyry system. We are identifying key drill targets and hope to commence a drilling program shortly."
