Extra Space Storage Inc. Offers Electronic-Waste Recycling at Two Sacramento, CA Locations

June 8, 2011 - Salt Lake City, UT

Extra Space Storage Inc. is partnering with E-Waste Recovery Systems to provide electronic waste recycling at two locations in Sacramento. Consumers can drop off their end of life electronics, which will then be recycled in a safe and secure fashion.

In 2007, 3.01 million tons of e-waste was generated in the US. Of this amount, only 410,000 tons or 13.6% was recycled, according to the EPA. The rest was trashed in landfills or incinerators. Bob Carroll, Divisional Vice President, states, "We realize there is a huge need for recycling efforts and we want to provide a solution for the local communities that we serve."

This is a free service and facilities are open Monday thru Saturday 9:30 am - 6 pm. The following items will be accepted: Computers, monitors, printers, motherboards, televisions, UPS, PDAs, networking equipment, scanners, VCR/VCD/DVD players, fax machines, entertainment systems, and phones.

Extra Space Storage of Sacramento is located at 7345 Roseville Road and Extra Space Storage of West Sacramento is located at 975 F Street. For more information, please visit
